The Plankers
‘The Plankers’ is a madcap comedy feature film to be produced by Ian Herbert and Beatnik Media Ltd. Location filming will predominantly take place in London with some scenes shot on location in New Zealand. Production is scheduled over 2009/10. The film is based on a script by Ian Herbert, Lena Rae, and Karl Sievwright with assistance from Ian Mclean. 

The Plankers in every day life

IN A WORLD RULED BY TRENDS, NOTHING IS COOLER THAN HAVING A PLANK OF WOOD!!!

Deep within the New Zealand forest lives Fred, the worst environmentalist on earth. His is a happy existence – until he discovers that his forest is gradually being destroyed all around him, milled into extinction. Fred makes the link between this dwindling habitat and the new ‘Plank’ trend sweeping London, so he heads off to trend-obsessed England to put a stop to the carnage.
the Portaloo People Mr Plankface is a plank baron with a payroll of plank gangsters who operate above the law to produce planks for the weak-minded inhabitants of the city, using the ‘Goodwill to All Mankind’ charity as a smoke screen.

Fred meets Shitface, the leader of the Portaloo people – fellow outcasts from mainstream society. Shitface instantly realises Fred’s true potential, eventually becoming his mentor - preparing him for the fight ahead.
