The Seventh Seagull
The Seventh Seagull is the most awesome, ultra cool and pretty standardly top story about the legendary seagulls that tried to take over the world. Fortunately for us humans they had a soft spot for Pizza and Beer and were safely blown off into outer space. This is how it happened…..

SHIFTY PINK SEAGULLS
SHIFTY PINK SEAGULLS (1998), Oil on canvas

The seagulls planned the attack
The seventh seagull planned all night,
Tomorrow morning was going to be an awesome site.
They were going to storm the capital in their hoards,
What the hang, they may as well do it on surfboards!
Crazy Ian held his surfboard all joyful and happy,
While Fred looked docile and 'cell phone Lucy' looked like an Auckland yuppie.
Betty and Dave laxed back,
Bob and Ping played hacky sac.

RIPPER OF A WAVE
RIPPER OF A WAVE (1998)
Oil on canvas

Catch that wave
People freaked out and ran away,
As the seagulls surfed in throughout the day.

SHARK AND TAITY (FISH AND
SHARK AND TAITY (FISH AND
CHIPS) (1998), Oil on canvas

Seagull Takeaways
The first place they went in their greed,
Was the rubbish dump to have a good feed.
They bounced on old beds and drove the bulldozer,
Dave laxed back and Bob played hac like a poser.

PIZZA AND BEER
PIZZA AND BEER (1998), Oil on canvas

Pizza and Beer
Pizza and beer is what they found in the city,
Only Ranfurly, Waikato, and Victoria Bitter - what a pity.
They guzzled and ate and played the fool,
Listened to Oasis, Pink Floyd, and that bizarre band called Tool.
In the background the Mad Scientist and Beaker planned a plot,
To make a spaceship out of cardboard and snot!

THE SPACESHIP
THE SPACESHIP (1998)
Oil on canvas

The spaceship
Blinded by the promise of Pizza and Beer,
The seagulls went in without a care…….

INTO THE UNKNOWN (1998)
Oil on canvas

Into the unknown
The hot air from the beehive blew it into space,
It flew over Ozzie and off at an almighty pace.
The people in the capital celebrated all night,
While the rest of New Zealand watched the seagull's space flight.

MARS SURFING (1998)
Oil on canvas

Surfing
Slap, bang, the spaceship crashed,
Any hope of return completely dashed.
The time has passed and Bob and Ping still play hac,
While Betty and Dave like to lax back.
Crazy Ian is still Crazy Ian and Fred looks docile,
And Lucy contacts little green men on her mobile.
If you look closely you will see them surfing the
craters to this very day,
Vowing to return on the 24th of May.
