The Travelling Artist
Ian is back in the U.K., and excitement is building as ‘The Travelling Artist in South America’ documentary nears completion this year. Ian has recently travelled around the world starting with the Amazon Rainforest, travelling throughout South America, New Zealand and Australia. The documentary includes a vibrant childrens art exchange. |
Ian organised art exchanges between children in Peru, New Zealand and England. This involved the children producing art work in the art workshops and then swapping the art work with the next art workshop group. This has been a special and rewarding experience for all. For the highlights of the South American travels see Art and Film news. |

Ian will run art workshops with the aim of inspiring children to find their creative voice. The art that is created by children in these workshops will be handed on to the next group of children. This sharing of art will enable the children to feel connected, through art, with other cultures and nationalities. Ian will also be exploring the work and lives of artists to find out more about local art scenes. |
Traveling is the degree in life, the more you see, the more you realize you haven’t seen much at all. The more you get chased by elephants, get attacked by lions, get lost among ancient Mayan tunnels, pursued by dodgy police in Morocco, swim in alligator infested waters in the Everglades, try and speak English in France, order soggy fish and chips in East London, and try kissing a piranha in the Amazon, the more you realise this world is one huge playground. |
Ian is now working on his first art book and wants to expand his art exhibitions and the children’s art programmes to share these experiences with others. |
